The city centre used for this map is Centro, the district at the east end of La Concha where the Alameda and the old town meet. From there the whole of San Sebastián fits within a walk or a short ride: the funicular up Monte Igueldo leaves from the west end of Ondarreta, Chillida's Peine del Viento stands at the same end of the bay, and the Gros surf beaches begin a few blocks east of the river. Santa Clara sits in the middle of La Concha, a 30 minute sailing from the harbour with a stop on the island, and the ticket stays valid for the day.
